Orphan Care
After years of work supporting the Taiyuan City Orphanage, Evergreen has now developed a more formal professional service to assist in this area: the Kids SOAR (Special needs, Orphaned, or Abandoned child Resource). This program has 3 objectives:
• Seeking the root of the problem in preventing and eliminating child abandonment,
• Caring for those children in need, and
• Moving children out of institutions into foster and adoptive families.
This program relies on our rehab and medical teams, as well as a dedicated group of volunteers from the community who care for, educate and emotionally enrich the lives of these precious orphans.
