Core Values
Excellence:
Evergreen strives to maintain a high standard of professional excellence in all of our work.
We want to give our best.
Integrity:
Evergreen wishes to be known as a trustworthy organization.
In all situations we endeavor to be honest and forthright, our words matching our actions.
Faithfulness:
"Acknowledging God's gracious calling in our lives," we are committed to persevering in the work before us, doing so in a way that honors God and his
Word and respects all human beings.
Teamwork:
We recognize that accountability for both work and character is best developed in intentional community.
To that end, local and expatriate workers are expected to function as healthy contributing members of a cohesive team.
Local Appropriateness:
We acknowledge that effectiveness is a concept that is locally determined.
In all that we do we seek to act and speak in ways that honors the cultural context of the places and people we work with. Emphasizing local appropriateness
throughout all aspects of our lives and our work yields greater results while also demonstrating respect for the communities in which we serve.
Statement of Faith
We believe in the HOLY SCRIPTURES as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the
supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct; ONE GOD, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit; Our LORD JESUS CHRIST, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His
vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and
glory; the SALVATION of the lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and
regeneration by the Holy Spirit; the HOLY SPIRIT, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness
and work for the Lord Jesus Christ; the UNITY OF THE SPIRIT of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ; and the
RESURRECTION of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto
the resurrection of damnation.
