Regional Educational Development (RED)
Begun in 1999 (original name Regional Economic Development), Evergreen’s Regional Educational Development (RED) Project in Yangqu County seeks to address the needs of the economically disadvantaged with the goal of bringing about physical and spiritual well-being to individuals, family, and communities.
Working in our two community center locations, RED’s services include:
- Educational programs, such as tutoring, sensory integration training, summer English classes, summer day camps, art classes, and English Corner for kids and teens
- Family Services, such as marriage training & support and parenting classes
- Financial assistance for students through the Scholarship Project
To meet the growing need for our services, we are currently looking to purchase a suitable place to expand our Yangqu Community Center!
