China is in a period of economic and personal growth which exceeds in speed and breadth anything ever seen in human history. We in Evergreen are sharing in this growth, and striving to contribute to it.  Through the contributions of our Evergreen professionals and our local employees, we are seeking to assist Shanxi and other Chinese provinces by developing public benefit services for the common people. We strive to do this with sacrifice, by God’s calling and in a way which shows forth the veracity of our faith. As you can imagine, our lives are transformed as much as are those we serve, for serving in Shanxi in locally appropriate ways means entering the life and ways of the local people. So as you enter our site, please appreciate that we are on a shared journey. After having experienced the Sichuan earthquake here in China two years ago, our hearts are broken about the recent earthquake in Port au Prince, Haiti.  We are praying for their many needs to be met in the immediate, and for their broken hearts to heal over time.  It is our hope that as with the earthquake here, it will lead to a kind of national healing for the people of Haiti as they move forward from this great tragedy.
