Locations
We are currently committed to three regions in Shanxi Province: Taiyuan, Yangqu, and Jinzhong (aka Yuci). Each has its own distinctives, but our goal in each of them is to move toward Chinese leadership and sustainability in all project areas.
Located east of the Yellow River, Shanxi Province, also known as Hedong, has a population of over 32 million. Its capital is Taiyuan, an industrial city that serves as the province’s transportation hub and whose population is about 3.4 million. Evergreen has its international office in Taiyuan, with satellite offices in both Yangqu and Yuci.
Shanxi sits at a relatively high altitude (average of 800 meters, or 2600 feet above sea level) and has a dry climate with four distinct seasons.
Shanxi is one of the birth places of Chinese civilizations with a long history and traditional culture. Most of the ancient structures were built before the Liao and Song Dynasties. Tourist attractions include the Jinci Temple, the Twin-Pagoda Temple, and the Tianlong Shan Stone Caves. There are also a number of beautiful natural places to enjoy in Shanxi, including Wutai Mountain, the Yellow River's Kettle Spout waterfalls (Hukou Waterfalls) and one of the Five Sacred Mountains in China - Mt Hengshan.
